''Izatha oleariae'' is a moth of the Oecophoridae family. It is endemic to New Zealand, where it is only known from the subantarctic Snares Islands.〔(Fauna of New Zealand - Izatha (Insecta: Lepidoptera: Gelechioidea: Oecophoridae) )〕 The wingspan is 15.5–20 mm for males and 15.5–20 mm for females. Adults are on wing from November to February. The larvae have been recorded boring in dead twigs and branches of ''Olearia lyallii'', or under the bark on dead trees of this species. One larva was found under a lead plate on a pine nestpeg (a peg used to mark a penguin burrow), and another in the bark of a live ''Brachyglottis stewartiae''. ==References==
